Because that Big, Fat, Nasty wine was so….
…Good! I’m taking this one for the team!
When you find a lusty bottle of wine that commands respect, you give it up! This bottle of Kaleidos wine is beyond words. Imagine exotic cherries dipped in chocolate spices that linger on your tongue. The creaminess of the coffee flavors enhances the earthy minerals. Oh, this is love on the taste buds.
Shut up and kiss me Syrah!

I finally got a date with Chicago’s new wine on the scene, Apothic Red. Vanilla notes with soft cocoa flavors that were complimented by sweet berries. For all those first dates, it’s seriously a great wine selection. It had character with every sip. For the price, I highly recommend it for everyday wine.
Note: I found it $2.00 cheaper at Binny’s compared to the $10.99 at Whole Foods in Chicago.

Last night’s celebration with my dear friend Vera was an adventure. As we hopped from restaurant to restaurant in search of a perfect place for our bottle, we stumbled across Caro Mio. This Uptown Italian eatery was just right for our bottle of Herman Story – Nuts & Bolts.
This lively Syrah took all of our two hour dinner before it opened up into a splendid chocolate cake covered in elderberries. The wine made a smooth entrance, stayed awhile, and made a graceful and long smoky exit. Loved it!
