Gerardo Martinez attained a Bachelors in Criminal Justice from Loyola University in Chicago and has over 20 years of experience in the Security profession. After completing extensive specialized training in the U.S Marine Corps, he earned a top secret security clearance and was selected to protect human, classified material, and government assets at U.S embassies in various parts of the world.

Gerardo is committee chair for aquariums and zoos within the Cultural Properties Council of ASIS International – the pre-eminent association for security professionals that develops security best practices and standards for all industries.

Gerardo leads the Chicago Cultural Property Security Director Group and is on the Public Private task force for the Chicago Office of Emergency Management and Communications.
